Top quality hay from the Midwest.

Our story

Chris and Meghan grew up helping on family and friends’ farms in Ohio and Indiana, and have always held a special place in their hearts for small family farms. But, little did they know after meeting each other in Alabama, moving to Indiana, and starting a family, that they would be the proud owners of their own small family farm.

While searching for a home to purchase upon moving to Indiana, Meghan and Chris found the listing for their current home near Sheridan. And, once the realtor said the property had hay fields, Chris was hooked. They bought the property in the spring of 2019 and began their hay farm that summer. With help from family, the two were able to make a long-time dream come true.

From 9 acres to 90 acres, Friebel Farm has grown quickly in the past six years. And, unfortunately, has outgrown its hay storage facilities and the available acres to produce hay. However, God had a hand in the planning, and the timing could not have been better for Chris and Meghan to step in and take over her grandfather’s 300-acre farm in Franklin, Indiana.

With additional acres being planted this year and next, Friebel Farm will be able to continue to provide top quality hay, but in greater numbers than ever before. In addition, the farm will be adding alfalfa/timothy hay to the products offered; while maintaining the straight orchard grass, alfalfa, and Friebel Farm’s specialty mixed grass hay.

“Chris and Meghan provide excellent customer service, are highly knowledgeable, and take great pride in the quality of hay they produce.”
